  • Recreational Riding
This is why most of us started riding a bike; it’s fun, pure and simple. Get on a bike, go for a ride; bomb down a hill, feel the wind in your face, swoop around corners, stop for a DQ. It doesn’t get any better. MetroCyclist loves this kind of riding. Here you can share your favorite loop rides and good spots to refuel, longer rides (overnights) and how you take your recreational riding to “vacational riding.”

  • Routes
Finding your way around a metro area by bike is not quite as easy as getting in your car and heading out. Street maps are useful, but don’t show traffic patterns or bike paths. And besides, everyone has a favorite loop ride for Saturday mornings. So, how does one get from Lake Harriet to the state Capitol? (Assuming you want to.) What’s a good twenty mile loop with a good refueling station along the way. In this section you find and share information on good routes for getting from point A to point B and also good routes going from point B and back to point A (with a tasty stop or two en route).

What’s right for one person is totally wrong for someone else, but getting information and opinion can help you make the best choice for your own needs. So, from biking clothes to bikes, from panniers to handlebar bags, from... Well, you get the drift. This is where you’ll find it and share your knowledge and experiences.
